Detailsi've been exploring daily builds for a month or two with my ajbr-20, keeping an eye on the record feature. it works great, and eliminates a freeze bug the archos firmware has developed.
however, it does not write the mp3 headers properly (at least at the highest encoding rate, i haven't tried others)... it creates a file the appropriate size, but the header does not report a 169 vbr file and many players/decoders get rather confused by that when you try and decode to wav files to burn to a cd... it will usually show/decode to a length longer than the actual length (2 hour show becomes 2 hours 15-20 minute-ish)... thanks, i love rockbox so far and can't wait for 2.0! .ned |
This task depends upon
And this still doesn't work with the latest build? I added
correct Xing header creation in the 2003-04-02 daily build.
i just tested out today's build and it worked. amazing work
gentlemen- i no longer need to replace my jukebox due to the
buggy archos recording firmware... (which means you will see
a donation come payday)...
the last build i had tried was 20030331 when i wrote the
comment, it took me a couple days to get around to it :)
thanks again!
