I have a newer revision on e200 v1 and it’s playing fine (2 minutes into it right now). Maybe give some more details like non-default settings? Are you using timestretch?

I don’t have any custom settings that I can think of. I do speed up some stuff, but was not doing that this time.

This file, from the same podcast, also crashes my e200. It crashes instantly.

I play about 10-20 different files per week and this is the only issue I have. Only 1 other podcast is ogg, the others are mp3.

I think that the cause of the problem in the presence of the tag “coverart”. The length of the contents of the tag is too long. Therefore, it might be something like a stack overflow. I have 14 tracks from the album “Muse”, each of which is in the format Vorbis Ogg, and each contains the same tag “Coverart”. I have a player Toshiba Gigabeat MEG-F20. My player just hangs with a white screen when I try to start playing a file from among these 14 tracks. I have to turn off the power to reset the player. In the attached file is one of those tracks.

The album art on that file is extremely small, so it won’t overflow anything. FWIW that track decodes fine in the current build on my fuzev1. What build did you experience crashes with?

Release 3.10. With 3.9.1 there is no problem.

Does it crash with the current build?

Edit: If so, this was probably fixed in  FS#12448 .

About 10 minutes ago I installed the current build and I don’t have any problems playing the files.
Before I installed the current build I confirmed that # 95 still crashed my e200, it does.

If there is album art (coverart) in these files, it is not displaying.

Tested with these files:
http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/thetechiegeek/ogg/~5/KzUHBAshz8I/TheTechieGeek_098.ogg http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/thetechiegeek/ogg/~5/L2jiRg2pExs/TheTechieGeek_097.ogg http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/thetechiegeek/ogg/~5/sxd-tK_TM-Q/TheTechieGeek_096.ogg http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/thetechiegeek/ogg/~5/eG-y-039ZZI/TheTechieGeek_095.ogg

Thanks,
Guy
