Possibly related to  FS#12717 . And I guess 15775c8badac65ad9d7477a1706c019703c15b47 introduced the regression.

I'm seeing the same on my Fuze V2 and E200 - it worked properly with 3.11.2 on the e200 if that helps

I get the same thing on my iPodClassic
