FS#1398 - Recording contains multiple mpeg versions
After recording and transferring the file back to the pc for
playback, the file on a 1hr recording will play about
12-15minutes then crash the player (winamp, media
player, realone etc) the player either hangs or closes.
Usually you can skip to the last 5 minutes of the track
and after a pause it will play from there.
Using some mp3 fixing tools, none of which can sort this
as they just chop off past the 15min mark.. they show
that the recording contains multiple mpeg versions. Now,
not sure if this is because its vbr, but in any case the
middle portion of the recording is almost always marked
as bad and I cannot edit it in any wav editor as it
crashes them too.
If the recording is kept below about 20mins its ok,
anything longer and the middle screws up.
Linus, mail me I have the mp3 files still if you want to
take a look at them.

This sounds like a fine system problem.
1) How full is your disk?
2) Does Scandisk complain?
3) Can you give me copies of sector 0 and sector 63 of the
jukebox hard disk?
