An apps to manage (or in a first time to view) your
Address book, your time and your bookmarks.
based on Vcard, Vcalendar & XML standards to be
compatible with your data from anywhere (PC, PDA,
phones...)

I'd recommend to combine this with the feature request for
an alarm clock (feature request No. 616503, link
http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&group_id=44306&atid=439121&aid=616503).
The calendar should be able to trigger different actions like
- resume a playlist or something as alarmclock
- insert a specific audio message at the given time (as
reminder)
- start recording
- stop playing
- stop recording
- shutdown
- trigger tasks like rebuilding a database from the directory

For some of these tasks we will want the action to be performed
- once
- scheduled (e.g. every morning at 6 am excluding saturday /
sunday and on wednesdays at 7 am)
- event triggered (e.g. rebuild database 10 min after boot or
shutdown 15 min after last keypress)

who made this a priority? There are way too many basic
playback requirements before the Archos should be made a
PIM for goodness sake! Delete this feature request.

I made this "a priority" (as is plainly visible at the bottom of the page),
because I like the idea.

If you feel basic playback code is
missing, you know where to submit your patches.

This is a good "training" for my C-studies. I just made a
short calendar this weekend, and will submit the code on
monday.

Can anybody else put it somewhere in the menu ?

RockCalendar (http://www.rockbox.org/tracker/task/4760) works... But it just has no compatibility with vcal...

I was just going to post a request for this. I would really like the calendar and to have it and an alarm clock tied together with playlists would be great for my iPod 4G color.
