FS#2138 - Info Windows Overlap bug
I own 2 Archos Jukeboxes.
One is a V2 and the other is an FM.
I currently only have RKBX 2.2 installed in the V2.
I have been onl;y working with MP3s a short time, so I
am using that piece of junk called MusicMatch to encode
MP3s frmo my CDs and to create Playlists.
After installing RKBX 2.2, I tried to run a playlist created
by MM ending up with the V2 ended up displaying two
windows, one almost totally overlapping the other,
therefore obscuring the info in the 1st window with the
contents of the 2nd window.
This made it extremely frustrating to try to figure out
what the error was, as the only info the topmost window
provided was that there was an error.
It was only after repeatedly trying to load the MM
created playlist that I finally glimpsed the 1st windows
contents, until I understood that there was a problem
not with the V2 nor with RKBX 2.2, but that there was a
problem with the playlist that MM created and RKBX was
trying to load, nothing about what the problem inside
the playlist was either.
I then unstalled RKBX 2.2 and ran Archos’s OS, loaded
the playlist and ran with that playlist just fine… so I
have utterly no idea what within that playlist that RKBX
2.2 found to be a problem!
I reinstalled RKBX 2.2, used RKBXs create playlist
function, then loaded the resulting playlist without any
problem at all. So I still have no idea what inside the
playlist file that MM created that RKBX found un-usable.
Anyways, the major problem is the overlapping of the
windows OR the inability to flip between the windows in
order to gain view of the info the windows are
attempting to impart.
A somewhat lessor problem is the lack of info about
what inside the playlist was causing a problem…
perhaps writing about that into an error file to view later
might be nice?
Lastly, I have been unable to locate a lock keys
function. It is a pain that Archos includes the ability to
lock out all but one key,but not able to date find the
same capability in RKBX.
