FS#2257 - Automatically load "car" mode configuration settings.
I have been working on making it possible to remotely
control the Rockbox from my Volkswagen’s radio buttons.
This patch adds support for automatically loading and
saving “car” mode configuration settings to the
/.rockbox/car.cfg file whenever the user hooks their
Archos up to the car. This makes it possible for the
volume/bass/treble/etc settings to automatically adjust
themselves for the car environment without the user
having to do anything.
It also pauses/resumes playback when the user switches
input modes on the head unit or turns off the head
unit. This makes it more automatic for songs to start
and pick up right where the user was last listening.
I have a web site at
http://www.k9spud.com/vwcdpic/rockbox/ and
http://www.k9spud.com/vwcdpic/ where you can see more
about my Volkswagen audio interface. It is 100% open
source.

Quick story… I just installed a vwcdpic in my 99 Golf
yesterday. Worked PERFECTLY. Great work Mr. Schlunder –
nice to see you involved in the Rockbox project!
Thanks for the great work with the vwcdpic! I already can’t
believe I lived without it!
