DetailsIf at all practical, it'd be great to have the option
of chosing an alternative buffering mechanism, inspired by, I think Ipodlinux. Instead of, as happens now, buffering entire songs, the alternative buffering strategy buffers the first x seconds of each song, and only buffers the current song in full. This is of course not desireable if listening continously, but if you're shuffling a large number of songs, you tend to skip songs a lot after hearing only a little of them, and having a small part of more songs is probably a better idea. |
