Hello, I was wodering if it is possible to use the built in mic of the player to reduce noise like done by some sony or bose headphones. (e.g. http://www.bose.com/controller?event=VIEW_PRODUCT_PAGE_EVENT&product=qc2_headphones_index )

This might be working with other Players too (I just don't know which ones have sound capability)

Well I know that headphones like this have 2 microphones, one on each earpiece, this is how they manage to cancel sound out properly. It might work abit though, just no way will it feel like someone has turned down the volume control of the world ;)

The important question is whether you can concurrently record and play digital audio.
Sadly, I suspect the CPU support only one of these in the same time :(
