FS#5088 - better booting
I think it would be much better to boot into the Apple OS as default and to boot into Rockbox you have to hold the hold-”button”.
Or maybe Rockbox can be default but holding the Menu button is not that easy as holding “Hold” because often I press it to late. So with hold it would be much easier!
So pls developer think about this solution
Or at least give comments

I got the same problem and tried to hack a bootloader with menu. I ended up in having my iPod running, unresetable and waiting for its batterie to get empty to restore it. So, be VERY carefully if you want to hack it.
rockbox’ bootloader will never load anything but rockbox by default. There is some vague intention of making the bootloader button detection work better i think.
just dont let go of menu when you want to turn it on…. untill it says loading original firmware
