It would be nice if there could be an extra option in the LCD setup: one that configures the action taken on a button press when the backlight was out.

Option 1: activate backlight
Option 2: activate backlight & execute button

Current way it works is that you have to press a button twice in order to execute what the button does when the backlight was out.

There'a an option LCD Settings/First Keypress Enables Backlight Only.
If it's enabled, this should be your Option 1.
If it's disabled, this should be your Option 2.

That feature was introduced some weeks ago and its default setting is enabled.
So I also was confused a bit when loading a firmware that included that setting and had to press buttons twice...

I guess I failed to see the 'only' word at the end. I thought it was just 'First Keypress Enables Backlight' which of course I would want yes. Thank you for alerting me...
