DetailsUsing VBR MP3 on rockbox-h120-20060430.zip on a H140.
If you press and hold the the fast forward control to seek from near the end of one track into the next, it stops when u hit the beginning of the next track until u let go, instead of entering the next track and continuing to seek. When you try the same in with reverse seeking, it stops when u hit the beginning of the current track instead of seeking into the end of the previous track. It just stops until you let go, and then starts play from the beginning of the track. |
This task depends upon
When listening to long music files, such as live sets, it would be nice to be able to seek from the end of the file and not just from the beginning. This is currently not possible, but with the above feature, it would be.
I understand that the current rewind behavior is a feature but two vendors (Iaudio and Rio) noted for their support of audiobooks (bookmarking) have provided this feature. More and more users are listening to audiobooks and PODCASTS on their DAPs and would like to treat content more seamlessly. I would be happy to see this as an additional option under the FF/RW menu selection.
As I quite often find that I have missing a bit of a book and want to rewind back a few seconds this can be quite frustrating if you find your self wishing to relisten to the last 30 seconds the previous file in my playlist which makes up my audio book finishes.
