Please implement support for the IPod Camera Connector ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPod_Camera_Connector )

This may give the opportunity to browse througt the files on another usb-based mp3-player and copy some mp3s to your ipod without the need of a computer.

This would be very nice, thank you!

Supporting the iPod Camera Connector (which IIUC is a simple adapter which simply gives access to the USB host port hidden in the dock connnector) involves both the reverse-engineering of the iPod's USB hardware and implementation of a full USB stack in Rockbox.

So yes, whilst support for that would be nice, be aware that it's not going to happen overnight.

There would be potential for using the iPod as a DAC as well. Imagine having the power of the Wilson DAC while listening to tunes off of your laptop.
