FS#5928 - FM tuner: channel raster (0.1MHz) is too coarse

The FM tuner allows frequency steps of 0.1 MHz only. However, the channel raster in Europe is 50kHz / 0.05 MHz. Some stations cannot be tuned correctly. A mistuning of 50kHz causes distortions at stereo reception and causes problems if the station is close to another strong station. The iriver firmware switches between 0.1 and 0.05 MHz tuning steps, depending on the firmware region.

Closing all feature requests.

In Roma, for the stations I listen, I don’t have any problem… If someone will do something about this task, please add a feature to choose between the two steps.

Have you had a look at  FS#5929 ? I think a region setting will be the way to go. As wikipedia stated, the use of the 50kHz raster isn’t widely used in europe anymore with italy being one of the countries that is still using it.
