I'd find it great if i could also use my ipod as an external sound device for any computer i'm working on. So i wouldn't have to bother if the computer has a built-in soundcard and if the correct drivers are installed. i'd just plug in my ipod, configure it as the default sound device and listen to music, watch dvd's and so on...
a further advantage: it would be a real hi-fi-soundcard!
