FS#6907 - Multiple file/playlist song select

I was imagining something like CTRL select or SHIFT select in windows or linux. This would make it easy to select say, 5 songs out of an album of 12 and insert them into the playlist. Or, within a playlist, to select an arbitrary number of songs at once and delete them/move them through the playlist as one body. This would amke it possible to, for example, select all of the songs of an album already within a playlist and move the whole album at once, or delete the whole album at once.

If this feature was added to the playlist view, database view and filetree view, it could make dealing with large numbers of songs and files much easier. Perhaps on the iriver H1xxs for instance, the record button could function as the shift button does on a pc when selecting files.

I hope I am making sense?

Sam

Closing all feature requests.

After using Rockbox quite extensively over the past month - this is a definite must! Being able to multiple select different tracks or complete artists is extremely useful. I love the software and would appreciate it being considered for a release.
