FS#7184 - Freezing problem on Gigabeat when disconnecting from bootloader USB mode
I’m running a Gigabeat F20 with the latest bootloader (21st April 2007) and whenever I use the bootloader USB mode (device off; plug in USB; power up device) I find it does not restart correctly.
Using either WinXP or Win2k, I do the ‘Safely Disconnect’ operation, which causes no change on the Gigabeat screen (but I don’t know whether it should) and then when I unplug I just get blank screen with the backlight permanently on and no buttons functioning. It requires a battery switch-off to reset it.

Bug doesn’t occur for me (Safely disconnect doesn’t change the screen, no). After using USB mode from the bootloader and disconnecting it still proceeds to load Rockbox. Tried from both the plain cable and the cradle, both load as expected after disconnection.
Not sure if more opinions are wanted first, but judging by the age of the bootloader I’d say it was already fixed.
I can’t reproduce this. Bootloader USB mode works fine for me and I can boot right into Rockbox without powering off the device.
I have this problem too.
It happens exactly the same way like the original poster described.
Note: This doesn’t happen if I boot Rockbox first and then plug in/out.
Same problem here on Gigabeat F60
Problem appears fixed as of r17453.
