More details required! Maybe try battery benchmarks on daily builds to see which day the battery life was reduced?

I will try a couple of benchmarks and post them later.

Here are a couple of tests I did. The second is after updating the plugin as noted on the website. I hope this helps.

Saying 'My battery lasts less time' isn't grounds for a bug report. If you have conclusive proof that a recent change has caused this, then fair enough, but the following things need to be considered:

Revision currently used,
Revision you noticed the battery usage went up,
Consider that you may be using higher bitrate files, lossless audio, using the backlight more, using plugins more...

The battery benchmark you provided is hard to follow, it splits a few times and is therefore unreliable.

There are so many factors affecting battery life that I'm not sure whether or not this should be closed...

My unit lasts 8 hours when I use no functions at all. Is that normal? I think it was more like 14 hours before (1 month ago).

I will make a better battery benchmark on the lastest SVN and post it tomorrow. If you think it is normal, please let me know.

According to people in the chat this is a few hours shorter than they are getting. However, this means that, rather than the firmware being more wasteful, it's more likely a problem your end. Are you using the backlight extensively, or listening to high bitrate files? This will cause your battery to run down faster. If you are the only person experiencing a drop in battery life I can't imagine this is a problem with the firmware.

However, a battery bench would be very helpful if you could do it.

It seems that recent changes have improved things. I got 13 hours this time. It looks like when I do recording, the battery consumption goes faster from that point on, even if I do no more recording.

Here is the test.

Thanks for your help!

That's odd... Perhaps the recording part isn't getting shut down properly... But this is the first report of its kind I believe. Perhaps someone should look into this issue before this is closed.

I'm doing another benchmark, but with recording once, then not. I'll post it later.

Here's the anther battery_bench. It lasted 12 hours this time, with some recording.
