The recording feature is great, but:
The maximum recording gain in the microphone-mode (9.6 dB) is quite low with my microphone - Is it possible to change that?
(At the Iriver H120/140 - build the max recording gain is much higher.)

Recording gain control hasn't yet been implemented on the ipods.

Also, the ipod 5g shouldn't have a mic input setting - it only has one input, which is the line-in in the dock connector.
