FS#8333 - Control Max Volume

It would be great if the feature which exists on the iPod’s original firmware was in RockBox too.

On the iPod’s Apple OS, you can limit the max volume.

On RockBox, I find that if the volume is too high, the sound quality is reduced and “clipping” occurs. So to avoid this completely, what if we had a feature to set a maz limit of volume?

That way, when I scroll all the way up I don’t need to worry about bad noise.

Closing all feature requests.

I’ve added a related task to this for anybody wishing to implement the feature to look at.
