It would be great if the feature which exists on the iPod's original firmware was in RockBox too.

On the iPod's Apple OS, you can limit the max volume.

On RockBox, I find that if the volume is too high, the sound quality is reduced and "clipping" occurs. So to avoid this completely, what if we had a feature to set a maz limit of volume?

That way, when I scroll all the way up I don't need to worry about bad noise.
