I wish (on swcodec targets) we could play 2 files at once. I would like people to be able to have an audio book + a playlist of music in the backround while the audio book is still playing.
This task depends upon

IMO this task should get closed:
- the general usefulness is rather limited
- if you really want to mix some background music to an audio book you could do that in prior on the PC.
- decoding two fully fledged audio streams isn't always possible depending on target and audio format (voice uses a codec that can get decoded quite fast and its also limited in bitrate etc.)
- it would require major works to Rockbox. Just think how one would control two streams at the same time?

Given the fact that its usage is really limited and we currently have quite some bugs in the playback engine open I don't think keeping this open is helpful but only clutters the tracker. Maybe in a couple of years ...
