I coded a fix for  FS#9025 . It basically consists in reverting the firmware to functional revision r1758, although I left new key codes in order to activate button light.

Reason for closing:  Fixed
Additional comments about closing:  Patch in  FS#9025  committed that should accomodate unit-by-unit variation pretty well.

What makes your's physically different than all the other units?

I have a similar problem where it is very difficult now to reliably hit the center without activating one of the directions. Maybe worn pad or my big fingers? Reverting back solves that problem.

I don't think my unit is so diffrent, actually. And I think that we should keep the player abolutely functional, and have a patch for users willing to increase the keypad's sensitivity. Anyway discussion seems to be more active on  FS#9025 .
