Hello,
I've updated my version of Rockbox on my X5 two weeks ago with lthe latest build (2008-05-17).
Since that day, sometimes when I play a flac file, the player stop to play it after 2-4 minutes of playing.
Only the reading of the flac freeze : I can navigate in Rockbox, the disk can spin, but there is no sound even if I try to seek in the song or try to use the play pause button. The theme can still update the button status, the time when seeking,etc... but the time is frozen when I stop to seek.
If I add a next song or go to the next song in the playlist, then it plays the next song.

It occurs quite often but not always I play a flac file. I think I've ever had this bug when playing a podcast that lasted 2 hours, it stops appoximately at 45 minutes I think.

I don't know if it occurs also on other players.

a build from 2 weeks ago is not the latest build.... get the current build from build.rockbox.org and try again

It was the latest build when I updated 2 weeks ago... I will try with the current build this evening and tell you if the bug is still here. Maybe it will take one or 2 days to see if the bug is still here.

With the build 2008-05-29, I have still the bug. I have got it yesterday with a mp3 of 8'34 (Kashmir) 320kbps. It stops at 5'13 and it was exactly the same bug as descibed above. The song was the last song of the playlist. When I have gone into the playlist menu (playlist -> View current playlist), I have done a right click with the joystick on the Kashmir item in the playlist and the player resume the playback where it had stopped.

Confirm. It happens twice in one day - long FLAC files freeze after 5:33 and 6:41 respectivelly. No sound from my rockbox until reboot.
I suppose http://www.rockbox.org/tracker/9066 and this have some roots - problems with buffering thread.

In addition. Tonight it happened yet another time. 6:53 of 7:17. Stravinsky, Symphony in C-Dur, mov 4, Sony music.
After hanging Gigabeat does not switching off, on screen there is status 'playing', battery drains, debug|threading thread show full alloc bar and empty the others;
