FS#9083 - CUE support broken

CUE support seems to be broken - one can load CUE sheet, select a track from the cue sheet, but is unable to play it.

Simulator gives only “cue parse” message on cue sheet loading; and then nothing.

The cue and audio files are OK as foobar2000 plays them without any problems.

that doesnt mean they arnt broken... IIRC we’ve seen before that fb2k is more forgiving to bad files than rockbox
this... can you play the audio file fine by itself? (i.e choose it instead of the .cue)... and can you upload the .cue here?

and last thing... have you actually got cuesheet support enabled? (settings > playback > cuesheet support)

Yes, I have CUE sheet support enabled. I have tested many CUE sheets and audio files (WAVE, FLAC, WAVEPACK) - all audio files were played back just fine, but every time I have chosen CUE sheet I was not able to start playback; I could only saw song list from the CUE sheet, but every try to start playback of the chosen song resulted in nothing.

selecting a cuesheet in the file browser will simply display it. to play an audio file that uses it, both files have to have the same name (minus the extension of course), and you play the audio file.

Thanks for you help. It was my mistake to think CUE sheet support is broken then.

I was mislead by the new way it works - it used to work so one could select CUE sheet which was displayed and he/she could start playback of a selected track from the displayed list. It was consistent with M3U handling. Now it works in the other way then M3U support, and so it can be misleading.
