FS#9418 - Player unresponsive while searching playlist with directory cache enabled
Sansa e280
Rockbox Version: r18569 (also verified with Rockbox 3.0)
Only setting changed - Directory Cache = Yes
Incorrect behavior:
Approximately 3 seconds after starting “Search In Playlist” on a large playlist from the WPS context menu, the music will stop and the player becomes unresponsive. When the search is complete, the music continues where it stopped and the player will respond to the buttons and scroll wheel.
Expected behavior:
When Directory Cache = No, “Search In Playlist” works as expected (music plays normally, responds to buttons and scroll wheel).
Steps to reproduce bug:
hold record on power up to clear all settings
turn on directory cache
reboot player to activate directory caching
create playlist (about 2000 mp3 files on my player)
start playlist
long select from WPS to activate context menu
select Playlist
select Search In Playlist
enter name of song and press play to start search
