DetailsA REALLY nice feature would be the ability to search
for a song on the hard disk by the file name. Maybe like the mStation car MP3 player, the Archos could index all the files on the disk (when it has detected a change in the disk or manually), and write it to a file somewhere, then unlike the mStation, be able to search using this file. When in the search screen, it could sort the sings live, as you input the text (using up/down to select a letter of the alphabet & Left/Right to select the letter - then play/pause to go to the live list below, to select the appropriate song. This database file could also be used when you are browsing the directories (when loaded into RAM, it wouldn’t have to keep spinning the disk up!) If it is possible, it would make finding songs on the Archos so much easier! I see the new Creative NOMAD Jukebox Zen seems to have this feature! http://www.gadgetshop.com/product_images/assets/pro duct_images_cropped/16406.jpg http://www.nomadworld.com/products/jukebox_zen/featu res.asp ..Sparks.. |

I agree if anything the Archos Jukebox Studio is missing a
way to search for a specific song.
In 20 GB worth of MP3 i think i would be a great feature
ACK. Search should be implemented next ;-)
