the Rockbox Steering Board

Purpose

Increase development speed by making it easier to make decisions in difficult questions where we can't reach consensus today. To have a core group that takes a greater role to advance Rockbox and Rockbox development, and take decisions about general direction and decide on new features.

Members

It consists of 5 members that will service for 12 months until next vote (takes place in July 2009).

The five current members are:

• Jens "amiconn" Arnold

Who gets to join

All committers get to vote for which 5 committers that should sit on the board.

What if a member drops out

If a board member retires during the period, the person next "in line" in the vote procedure will be invited to replace the retiree.
