This Wiki page contains some WPS files for the Toshiba Gigabeat F and X series of DAP's, for other models and instructions on how to upload WPS's see WpsGallery.

Currently, there are bugs with viewing WPS's in the UISimulator. These issues appear not to be present on the actual Gigabeat build.

Sta Theme and WPS by Soaa.

UPDATED: January 19, 2007.

I finally got around understanding the WPS syntax, so here's my first theme. Font is Segoe UI 12 converted for Rockbox, much cleaned up. Vista inspired, overall clean feel.

Tabs

Tabs Theme and WPS by Phalangees.

I had a lot of fun making this theme. Any suggestions could be emailed to me if you want. The font for this theme is included with the font pack. No idea why I called this tabs by the way. Album art isn't acutally working yet but this will be updated I promise.

Ajax

This is my theme, named after myself. I'm not that good at graphics so most of it is code but it all looks pretty well. I will be updating this again soon so check in every few days.

Back Theme and WPS by Phalangees. [last updated Jan 8, 07] This theme was inspired by the original firmware of the Toshiba Gigabeat. At first I was going to try and make it as close as I could but then it just didn't happen. The background image is completely customizable so you can change it to whatever you want.

Jsunu

This a skin I knocked together with limited knowledge of the wps code. The current Jsunu skin is a beta version [30-12-2006] and more updates will be applied at a later date. This skin can have a custom background by modifying the .png files found in the template folder and saving over the default .bmp. There will be more updates soon.

Pixel

This theme is derived from a unfinished website I was working on. Like the previous theme, Pixel is still a work in progress [1-1-2007] and more will be added at a later date.

Tranquil is a simple clean design. The design is purely text based and does not utilize any graphics at this stage. Future designs will include graphics. The background image can be easily changed by editing the included “.psd” file.

This is a derivation of my 'cabbie' theme (above), and, as such, probably does not deserve its own listing. Still, it is sufficiently different for me to keep both available separately.

I wanted to have support for Album Art in a simple theme like cabbie. Putting the album art in caused some congestion on the screen, so I did a lot of re-arrangement of items.

You will need the nimbus-12 font installed for this to work.

I hang out the the #rockbox or #gigabeat (as fasmaie) IRC rooms, if you want to comment/complain. If I have failed to credit someone, please bring it to my attention, and I will.

Palette

After doing Cabbie (above), which was meant to be a simple, easily readable theme, I decided to try something different. The outcome was Palette. As the name suggests, it uses a wide range of colours. This makes it a little gaudy, but I thought I'd post it up here anyway.

The theme has a space for album art, which will need a patched build at this point. Comment out the last two lines of the palette.wps file if you're not going to use album art.

The headings for the various sections look cut off in the images posted here. This is intentional. I think it works better on the gigabeat screen. Still, this is not for everyone.

I hang out the the #rockbox or #gigabeat (as fasmaie) IRC rooms, if you want to comment/complain. If I have failed to credit someone, please bring it to my attention, and I will.

Green5g for Gigabeat

This theme is based on Ipod Green5g by P.I. Julius (http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/WpsIpod5g#iPod_Green5g).

Supports 100 x 100 album art with an album-art patched build.

This theme is based on Ipod 5G theme, Stele by MikeStanton (http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/WpsIpod5g#Stele).

Not many changes to the original. Basically modified images and layout for the 240x320 screen size.

frostBox Album Art for Gigabeat

This theme is based on Ipod 5G theme, frostBox Normal by ChrisBanes (http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/WpsIpod5g#frostBox_Normal).

Rockbox TV (phkTV for Gigabeat)

This is based on Ipod 5G theme, phkTV by PauloHenriqueKikunaga (http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/WpsIpod5g#phkTV).

Modified images and layout for the 240x320 screen size. This is a fun theme based on an old TV. Paulo did a real nice job creating the original making the port to 240x320 easy.

Hawaii Theme

• A couple of bitmaps used from the Back theme by Phalangees. Thanks.
• Supports 145x145 Album Art.
• The font I've uploaded is Courier Bold 10. I've edited the theme around the uploaded font.
  • The font I actually use is Comic Sans Bold 10. If anyone wants the theme and font I use, contact me and I will send it. Pictured on the far right.
• Only needs the Album Art patch-20070409-v7 on at least a 20070417 build.
  • Many may also want to add the Scrolling margins patch and edit the wps.

ShortCircuit

A graphic-intensive tech-theme WPS. Uses the relatively small Starmap font, changing fonts may compromise the position of some elements. Features skinned displays of battery/charge status and volume, on/off displays for hold, shuffle, and HDD activity, IDv3 tag info for currently playing and upcoming tracks, and meta info for the current track. Your choice of with or without the peak meter (tends to lag).

Updated May 12th, 2007: Fixed an error with the volume knob, where the dropshadow compounded and got darker as the volume went up.

Big_AA_SVN

This is the fist WPS for the Gigabeat (that I know of) that displays album art and does not need an unofficial build. I edited the AABox WPS which was based on the Zunish theme, so props the authors of those themes. It's also my first WPS so props to me for not being lazy. :-)

Features include:

• Recent bugs fixed: conditional display of track number and year
• 236x236 album art display which is nearly the largest for this target
• year of release is displayed in parentheses after the album title
• track number is displayed before track title
• alternating subline that displays codec, bitrate, genre and playlist info
• settings for gradient line selector to match the theme background
• settings for tango_small icons
• status bar is enabled for this theme

ExampleWPS^?

This is is a example of wps tags you can use in CustomWPS. This theme shows the tags, what the tags show, and then the actual information. I figured I would do this because i can make wps's when i actually see it first.

Aurora

Hello. This is a theme I have created entirely from scratch using Photoshop CS2 (ie. does not contain any graphics apart from what is inbuilt in Photoshop) so there are absolutely no issues with copyright. Feel free to reuse the graphics to port the theme to other targets or create your own themes.

Features include:

• Uses Unifont (so support tags written in many languages)
• Supports IconSets
• Supports Album Art (200x200)
• Works on SVN daily build (does not require a custom build)
• Both numeric and graphics battery/volume displays
• Full date and time
• Progress bar with Time Elapsed, Track Time, Time Remaining
• Peak meter
• Artist and Album titles scroll if too long for display
• Includes Album Year and Track Number
• Supports disk activity and hold indicators (topmost two icons on the right)

I hope you will like this theme. It's a bit complex, and presents lots of information, but is quite colourful and I find it quite readable.

Note: This theme does not support the Next Song tag, as there is no more room on the display. I normally listen to entire albums, so I don't need the next song tag.

arboxWidgets

This theme was ported from the theme I originally made for the iPod Video. It was created with the goal of displaying as much control information as possible, also including some Rockbox powerful features, not so usually displayed in other themes, such as crossfade or replaygain modes. Each “widget” allows a quick visual setting’s control or information status check. Works on recent official builds. Enjoy!

Here's one of my first WPS creations for the Gigabeat F! It was inspired by the jClix theme that was modified while viewports was still in FS. List of features:

• Viewports for a clean look with most moderately sized fonts (segmcr included as default)
• 150x150 Album Art, with alternate image when none is present
• Alternating sub-line displaying "next song" information
• Completely original images (aside from Rockbox logo) created in Photoshop CS2
