the Rockbox Steering Board

Purpose

The Rockbox Steering Board is a last resort in case discussions among developers get stuck and agreement can't be reached.

How it works

If a situation occurs where developers get stuck on an issue and fail to reach agreement, anyone can mail rsb@rockboxBLAH_BLAH.org and ask for intervention. Mail sent to the RSB is confidential and will not be made public.

Members

The RSB consists of 5 members who will serve for 12 months until the next vote.

Who is eligible to vote/serve?

All committers get to vote for which 5 committers that should sit on the board.

What if a member drops out

If a board member retires during the period, the person next "in line" in the vote procedure will be invited to replace the retiree.
