Codec Optimization Testing

Explination

This page is meant to gather the result of the test_codec viewer from all different codecs on all different platforms. Since the viewer measures results in percent realtime, it should not make a difference how long the song is. You will need to compile your own build of rockbox in order to compile the test_codec viewer. Please test with your DAP and post the results in the same format as the first one.

Notes

The codec MP3 - P is the MP3 codec with the mpa_removed_iram.patchapplied. However, the results from my latest patched build are different from previous tests. I will re-build and try again later.

WAV result is estimated. The test_codec plugin said "File too big".

This test was done with the song "Hold On" by Green Day on their CD Warning. The track was ripped from the CD each time it was encoded.
