Difference: RockboxSync (r6 vs. r5)
This utility is a Windows-only set of batch files to automate synchronisation of files from a desktop/laptop PC to a Rockbox device. It uses Microsoft's Robocopy utility (supplied in the zip), a more configurable and robust version of copy/xcopy.
To install simply unzip to the root of your device. Upon completion, you should have a zero-length file rockbox.sync and a new directory .sync . If your File View settings are set to anything other than 'All', you will not see these objects.
To use for the first time, open \.sync\user_configuration.bat in a text editor and follow the instructions for setting up source and destination paths etc.
To synchronise, connect your device to the PC and run (click/double-click) \.sync\synchronise_now.bat . The script checks for the existence of rockbox.sync to ensure files will be written to the correct drive and if it can't find it or if the batch file is called from a different drive is smart enough to ask the user which drive letter to use to synchronise.

All questions to bascule
Rockbox Sync is a small batch script to synchronize music to your Rockbox. For now it's just windows only!
RockboxSync is stored on filesystem of the device, you can run it manualy or with autorun.inf (located on the root of the device) It works with robocopy, so it checks for existing songs. Rockbox sync will skip the existing songs unless they have changed. If the files are changed Rockbox sync will replace them with the files from the source folder, you can change this feature in userconf.bat
note: Read Readme.txt (located in the zip) for install instructions.
