00:03:34dan_aHmmm, this Sanyo radio chip in the Sansa is weird. As far as I can tell, to tune it you write some random value to the frequency register, measure the frequency it's tuned to, and based on that write a higher or lower number to the frequency register. Is that normal?

It removes the disk poweroff option and always enables powering off the disk, also the settings block changed so save your settings. Tested and seems to be working on H320. I'll be back in a bit but will read any comments here.

11:48:36Slasherii am wondering whether we should include the kind of mods to the cvs. It could be some define that needs to be enabled for the code to work, or it could be hardware auto-detection
11:48:50Slasheriat least binary size shouldn't be a problem on the newer players
11:49:20amiconnSlasheri: There are some mods for archos which can be enabled with a #define
11:49:28Slasheriprobably a define would be a good enough
11:49:39Slasheriok, so then it sounds like a good idea to commit that

11:50:48amiconnOndio backlight is a #define in config-ondio*.h that needs to be uncommented
11:51:26amiconnI guess that since there is an rtc type #define, this method would also be best for the H1x0 rtc mod
11:52:04amiconnOh, and enabling disk poweroff for the Player works the same way (it's not strictly a hardware mod though)
11:54:46Slasherihehe, nice
11:56:04webguest20But the standard build should not contain unnecessary things i.e. those needed only for modded devices
11:56:27amiconnyes
11:57:03amiconnThose who have that mod would need to build rockbox themselves, uncommenting the appropriate #define in the platform config file
11:57:58*amiconn just noticed that the (commented out) #define for Player disk poweroff isn't in cvs
11:58:04*amiconn should commit that

12:25:58linuxstb_Sounds like a hardware problem, one that you wouldn't have noticed when using the Apple firmware. MENU+SELECT is a hard-wired reset in the ipod - it has nothing to do with Rockbox. Similarly, the power-on key is a hardware feature.

19:10:33peturrepeating start/stop recording several times results in recording not starting anymore

19:13:14PaulPositionHmm, seems my H10 hd is going south, guess I'm better get back (argh) to original firmware before it gives 'clicks' the bucket, so maybe I could RMA it. Or anyone knows a good surfacescan util that works on usb-drive (ie, not a bootdisc) ?

19:19:15PaulPositionclownish - I'll have a look, thanks. As for 'how to know' I wouldn't know if it didn't simply freeze on me, then freeze again when I tried to move the same file. And again.. - And then windows event viewer reported lots of errors, so... :p
19:19:37PaulPositionHaving bought refurbished however, I don't really see what hope I have of an RMA.
19:19:37tucozisn't it just to run a scandisk to look for errors?
19:20:12tucozor some other disk analyzing tool
19:20:55PaulPositiontucoz- windows scandisc, filesystem fix auto and surfacescan didn't correct it. So am looking at finding another, more extensive program. But those usually start from cdrom-bootable.
