00:20:10burdenhello, I need help syncing my rockboxed iPod video.
00:20:29burdenI use songbird to manage all my music in one folder and it is organized the way I like it
00:20:47burdenand all I want to do is keep that folder on my comp synced w/ my iPod
00:21:00burdenwhen I add or delete stuff from that folder, I want it to do the same on my iPod folder
00:21:14burdenessentially, I want it to keep a copy of that folder on my iPod
00:21:15Mikachuman rsync
00:21:24burdenis that the best program?
00:21:32burdenthat is the only thing I want it to do
00:21:43Mikachuthat is basically the only thing rsync does
00:22:07burdenok cool
00:22:09burdenthanks
00:22:36burdenis it for windows xp?
00:22:38Mikachuno
00:24:25burdenit says on the tools website that it is for windows
00:28:46Mikachuit works on windows but it's not specifically for windows

00:29:39burdenwhat about treeComp?
00:29:41burdenis that good?
00:29:49Mikachuno idea, i haven't used windows in years
00:29:55GodEaternone of these questions are about Rockbox really
00:30:10burdenits generalized at rockbox however
00:30:10GodEaterhow you sync your music is a personal choice that Rockbox doesn't get in the way of
00:31:12burdenyes, but because I am using rockbox, I have to use an ulternate sync method, therefore this question is about rockbox
00:32:26GodEaterwhy do you have to use an alternate sync method ?
00:33:00burdenbecause copy paste every time I change my library is inneficient
00:33:11burdenand songbird doesn't sync .flac
00:33:23 Quit DarkDefender (Remote closed the connection)
00:33:30gevaertssounds like a bug in songbird
00:33:30Mikachui would say the ipod is the alternate method
00:34:07burdenits not a bug in songbird, songbird works flawlessly with the orginal iPod firmware
00:34:19burdenand what do you mean that the iPod is the alternate method?
00:34:38GodEaterwell it wouldn't sync .flac with the original firmware, so I doubt that
00:34:39 Join GeekShado_ [0] (n=Antoine@163.115.69-86.rev.gaoland.net)
00:34:46Mikachusyncing with rockbox is completely generic, it's just a directory
00:34:47GodEatersince the original firmware doesn't play .flac
00:34:59burdenwell, the original iPod firmware doesn't support flac so naturally it wouldn't sync it
00:35:05Mikachubut you need to do a lot of specialized stuff to sync with an ipod
00:35:11burdenyes, I know
00:35:23gevaertsburden: well, there are dozens of syncing tools around, you can't expect us to have an opinion on them all
00:35:24burdenbut I have my library organized in the wya I want it
00:35:37burdenwell do u guys know of a good one/
00:35:38burden?

06:31:38EtriganI've used Rockbox 3.3 (for the iPod 5th gen, 60gb) for about 2 months with no problem. When I unplugged it from charging today, it tried to boot normally, but said "failed to load linux.bin" (I don't have any Linux installed, unless rockbox does it when it installs), and froze. The only method to unfreeze is to remove the battery. I've tried re-installing Rockbox about 4 times, and the like, but nothing seems
