10:07:42pixelmaJdGordon: I got the classic radio screen done now but there was one small problem I experienced with r26220 (last available daily) - the preset number always returns something. When I'm not on a preset it is a "0" but a %?Ti will always be true so I can't surpress the display
10:08:14JdGordonso put a %?tm<> before it
10:09:00JdGordonthe tag for scan/preset mode i mean
10:09:04JdGordonI may have got that wrong
10:09:28pixelmano, you can be in scan mode and can still see if you "hit" a preset
10:09:43n1swow, we #define DEFAULT_CONTRAST and DEFAULT_CONTRAST_SETTING
10:10:08pixelmaIMO that's a "must" to be able to manually put your preset file together
10:10:49JdGordonif you are in scan mode then you dont have presets around

10:17:02pixelmaZagor: during the downtime I noticed something weird on the download mirrors. They have "oldstylename-currentdate" and "newstylename-currentdate" dailies in the subfolders, the content of the old style ones is from before the rename action but they keep the zips and those zips even get new dates

11:42:03JdGordIt mostly depends how soon after the string was added
11:42:25n1sjust s/LANG_FOO/LANG_BAR/ is fine
11:42:48n1sthe binary lang files depend on the order of the strings, not the actual ID

11:45:19pixelmathis one would need changing
11:45:49n1spixelma: i think it's ok, it will play the old voice clip with an old voice file though, but if you change it so any targets that didn't have the string gets it or vice versa, every voice clip after that one will be off
11:46:57n1sbut honestly, deprecated strings are quite cheap and as i said, i'll clean them out after the release unless someone else beats me to it
11:47:38n1sthey cost 3 bytes IIRC
11:48:05pixelmamy suggestion is to change it to "Radio Screen" and "Remote Radio Screen" and I'd like to have it in the release because the current ones are confusing (noticed when I had to explain the remote one to a translator here)
11:48:31pixelmaunfortunately that will make the already updated translations incorrect again

14:51:06gevaertsI suspect you saw the cable before plugging it in :)
14:51:37bug2000Nah, more like it froze with a cable paint.
14:51:52bug2000I wonder if it's due to the fact I tried to crash it.

14:54:08pixelmabug2000: what I meant with my mikmod statement was that there is a started port of mikmod to Rockbox (first as a plugin but also a try to make it a codec and replace the current mod codec). But it's a patch and you would have to compile a build with it and I'm not sure if it is maintained. The port has to fight with Rockbox's limits regarding codecs etc. so is not the same as mikmod on PC or so, last time I tried the codec variant didn't play simple
14:54:08pixelma .mod files larger than the codec buffer which is something the SVN mod codec can though)
14:54:28pixelmait's some time ago, I admit

22:41:18bieberOh, I guess I did indent a couple
22:41:50gevaertsI don't think we have a clear rule on that
22:42:36n1smost often we don't at least
22:43:06bluebroth3ra general reason for not indenting preprocessor statements is that some compilers require the # to be in row 0. Stuff like "# if(foo)" is ok for those. However, this doesn't affect us as we're gcc only
22:43:46bluebroth3rso I won't object against indenting preprocessor statements, though IMO they are more readable if not indented.
22:43:58*bluebroth3r waits for someone to propose a rule :)
22:44:07jhMikeSbertrik: I'm sure there's a better way to go that that, but what it is now is better than freezeup (and 15mA? bad, but not horrible on serveral-hundred mAh battery no?)
22:44:38bieberI'd vote for unindented
22:45:30bertrikjhMikeS, it might already work correctly as it is now in SVN
22:45:38*jhMikeS thinks they can be more readable in certain cases if indented at the same level at their local block
22:45:49bertrikbut 15 mA is quite a lot, that's half of the normal playing current
22:46:07n1si think indented preprocessor stuff *looks* weird but i think that's just because i'm not used to it, it is a fair deal easier to read in the real #ifdef hellholes
22:47:45jhMikeSbertrik: what does? You're right though, how could you turn it on if i2c was hanging? :P haha must just not set STC in that state
22:48:01pamauryIs there a problem with pcm audio in the simulator or is the problem with me ?

22:49:22bertrikjhMikeS, I meant that the si4700 is still powered down when the radio is stopped
22:49:54jhMikeSbertrik: yeah, when you do "off", but not for "pause" only
22:49:58bertrikbecause you only modified radio_pause, so all is still well I think
22:50:07jhMikeSright
22:50:32jhMikeSit sees "2" and knows it not actually to go full off

22:55:19bertrikjhMikeS, yeah, sorry, I actually thought that before checking the code and your changes ...
