03:03:24bieberHey
03:03:42bieberThe device control panel in the Theme Editor is, I'm pretty sure, done now
03:03:52S_a_i_n_tAwesome.
03:03:54bieberI was wondering if you had any input on the arrangement of the tabs/options
03:04:22bieberIf you want to screw with it yourself, the file /utils/themeeditor/resources/deviceoptions determines their arrangement
03:04:49S_a_i_n_tI havent seen it, so, not yet. If you could whip up a windows build for me I'd be happy to take a look.

03:08:30S_a_i_n_tI may be able to ask bluebrother nicely to whip up a current build, with a bit of luck he'll see this post when he pops in next. ;)
03:09:52bieberI'm working on making the timer work atm, so I'll see what I can do once that's done
03:10:10bieberThen you get two new features for the price of...all of them

04:59:45joecoolbut it comes down to efficiency of driving loads, used to be way more important with tube amps, solid state has slightly degraded it's importance.... (but nevertheless the acoustics will be different then expected if not matched properly)

12:11:54S_a_i_n_tTheSeven: What is the status of "FS #11429 - Improved sector cache / Remove on-stack and in-struct sector buffers / Align storage accesses"?
12:12:09S_a_i_n_tHas it any positive/negative effects?
12:12:42TheSevenit seems to be a bit slower than what rockbox is currently doing for some reason, especially when running test_disk
12:12:48TheSeventhat would need to be investigated
12:13:17TheSevenright now it seems to be stable, but I can't recommend it because it doesn't really have a positive effect right now
12:15:24S_a_i_n_tTheSeven: Awesome, thanks. I was just wondering if it was needing to be tested more on-device before it saw the light, or if there was something holding it back.
12:15:59TheSeventesting on multivolume/multidrive would be helpful
12:16:41S_a_i_n_tAlas, I have no multivolume DAPs :/
12:17:50TheSevenme, too, that's the problem
12:19:15mitkI have two: clip+ and fuze v1. What test do you need? Speed with/without patch?
12:20:33TheSevenno, stability
12:20:42TheSevenit'll either just work or fail terribly
12:20:52TheSeven(there might be some volume/drive mixup)
12:22:12mitkYou mean multiple runs of test_disk and looking for freezes and file system corruptions or just using DAP with patch?

12:23:53TheSevenwhich target shouldn't matter
12:24:19TheSevenif corruption will happen, you'll notice that rather soon
12:25:02mitkOk, I'll give it a try during weekend

14:22:53pamauryafter investigating the clip+ usb problem, I finally concluded that for an unknown reason, there is tranfer error somewhere. The data sent by the device (supposed to be at least) is the one received by the host (but it seems it is always the same !) Out of luck, this data causes a linux protocol error because the header length does not match the one announced by the data. What happen after this is a mystery but the origin is clear.
