10:20:20someweirdodo you know how to fix this problem?
10:20:22factorI had talked to a few of them , have not gotten to compile it myself yet but got the embedian version of arm gcc , they said it had to be a specific version
10:21:00factorI was reading over the compilation looked they may have been using a cygwin version of the arm comiler , not for sure though
10:21:05factorcompiler^
10:21:24factorthey did say it had to be a "specific" one though
10:21:38factorarm rev. are very picky I heard.
10:22:15n1ssomeweirdo: why are you not using the recomended version?
10:23:52someweirdoi built the cross compiler myself so i am going to try gcc-4.4 now.
10:25:07someweirdoi read the wiki for cygwin but it seems to be no working.
10:25:16n1ssomeweirdo: we provide the rockboxdev script that downloads the toolchain source, applies necessary patches, builds and install for you
10:25:24n1soh, you are on cygwin?
10:25:56someweirdono, but i just try it see if it works or not
10:26:43n1swe recommend 4.4.4 for arm eabi but it needs a patch to work, did you have problems with the script+
10:27:43someweirdois 4.4.6 from svn ok? because i am building the cross compiler right now can you point me to the patch needed for gcc?
10:28:32factor:)
10:29:07someweirdoi'm not using the script inside rockbox to build gcc btw which script should be involked?
10:29:26n1safaik noone's tried 4.4.6 but it'll likely work fine
10:29:39someweirdobecause i already have libraries require for gcc prebuilt
10:29:57n1srockboxdev.sh is our script for building toolchains
10:31:10n1sthis is the patch that the script applies http://www.rockbox.org/gcc/rockbox-multilibs-noexceptions-arm-elf-eabi-gcc-4.4.2_1.diff
10:32:12n1sand you might need binutils-2.20.1-ld-thumb-interwork-long-call.diff from the same dir if your target uses thumb

13:45:33amiconnI just tried the resistor plugin and found two bugs
13:46:37amiconnThe first happens when you use the colour decoding, and the string (black-brown-red etc) is longer than the screen width so it has to scroll, and you return to the menu, the scrolling text stays and scrolls "through" the menu
13:47:46amiconnThe other one is a crash bug. If you enter the LED resistor calculation, but then try to abort with LEFT, it goes on to the next selection and then to a vkeyboard. If you also abort that, the plugin throws a div0 error (at least on arm)
13:49:53*gevaerts looks
13:54:19gevaertsThere's no stop_scroll() in the code, which explains the first
