00:49:12pixelmaok, that also answers my previous question :)

14:24:51pixelmamanual builds but the "Target Has A Touchscreen?" is a bit weird though - it gets an own section which is understandable as it is all different to the other touchscreen tags but doesn't look right. I also don't like this wording in a headline, it's very "everyday language". And as I said, the section will only show up in touchscreen target manuals. My suggestion is to start a "Hardware Capabilities" (or similiar) chapter and put it there together
14:24:52pixelmawith the "RTC present" tag which is also weird because currently you get an "RTC Tags" chapter on non-RTC targets just for that

21:21:13n1sTheSeven: by lds script black magic, i think
21:21:35*TheSeven can't find that black magic
21:21:40amiconnNot really black magic. Just overlapping sections
21:21:46n1sbasically those secions are overlapped with other sections that are not loaded with anything
21:21:49TheSevenit appears to not be implemented at all on nano2g IIUC
21:22:13amiconnThe code has to make sure that use of section A has finished before use of section B starts
21:22:16TheSeventhis can't possibly work if .init.text is *before* .text, can it?
21:22:23amiconn(if A and B overlap, obviously)
21:23:17amiconnOn SH1 .iram (.icode+.idata+.iconst) overlaps the main stack
21:23:30TheSevencan you have a look at http://svn.rockbox.org/viewvc.cgi/trunk/firmware/target/arm/s5l8700/app.lds?view=markup
21:23:37TheSeveni don't see anything overlapping there
21:23:58amiconnSince on other targets we have the main stack in iram itself, we usually overlap .bss
21:33:54***Saving seen data "./dancer.seen"
21:39:32TheSevenamiconn: can you name any target where this definitely works, so that I can compare?
21:39:54n1sTheSeven: yes, it seems the nano2g doesn't overlap iram with anything else
21:40:08n1sit's easy to see in the rockbox.map file
21:40:14TheSevenalso init.text, same issue
21:40:57TheSevenhow can i make two sections overlap?
21:41:12amiconnI mentioned one already
21:41:37TheSevenjust by saving and restoring "." to some symbol, or is there a more elegant way?
21:42:02TheSevenamiconn: you mean http://svn.rockbox.org/viewvc.cgi/trunk/firmware/target/sh/archos/app.lds?view=log?
21:42:34amiconnyes
21:44:14TheSeveni can't spot anything there either
21:44:45TheSevenoh, the address specification in the .stack section, right
21:45:14amiconnlines 92..103
21:45:44amiconnMost app.lds files have similar mechanisms for different sections
21:46:06n1sthe _noloaddram thing
21:47:05amiconnOh, and btw, .init.text goes to the start of the .text destination section. The section for disposable init code seems to be .init
