10:00:51S_a_i_n_tHow do I add a "Start Database Here:" to RaaA (possibly all targets? Would it be useful elsewhere?)?
10:01:50S_a_i_n_tGoogle Music hides the "Offline Cache" from the system with a (regenerating) .nomedia file...so RaaA can't play my offline cache from the Database.
10:03:09S_a_i_n_tIts kinda similar to the Apple OF with weird obfuscated filenames, but all the metadata is intact. there's no embedded AA unfortunately though.

10:19:06[Saint]...is the path too long? Are the fullstops in the folder name messing it up? :-S
10:20:30[Saint]* I can browse to mnt/sdcard/Android/data/com.google.android.music/cache/music and play them all fine with the filebrowser, but the Database just won't find them. Even forcing a full rebuild by deleting all .tcd files.

15:49:23Taco_PrincessHey, does anyone have advice for getting the application pitch_detector working better? Sansa Clip+ user here and the defaults don't seem very sane. I've gotten it to sort of work now, but it's nowhere near reliable.
15:50:26[Saint]The only advice I would give for getting it to "work better" would be reading the manual.
15:50:37[Saint]It works perfectly fine on my devices.

15:58:18Taco_Princess[Saint]: the manual for pitch detector is a total of two sentances
15:59:51Taco_Princessmost of the time it won't pick up a note for me, and all the other times, it can't decide on what note is being played. It'll pick one, then a fraction a a second later it will change to another. Also, I tested my mic with the recording app, it seems to work fine. I know my instrument is good.

16:00:42Taco_Princesshttp://download.rockbox.org/daily/manual/rockbox-sansaclipplus/rockbox-buildch11.html#x14-29100011.4.13
16:02:39[Saint]Well...it works fine on My Fuse(es)...and since the plugin is exactly the same for the devices its capable of runing on, I'm gonna call bad HW.
16:03:05AlexPThat seems a bit extreme
16:03:13[Saint]well...not necessarily "bad"...but rather "not intended for this usage/not up to the task"
16:03:28AlexPI'd call that guessing
16:03:31[Saint]poor mic placement? <other> no idea.
16:03:39Taco_PrincessI think the mic is good
16:03:55Taco_PrincessI recorded myself playing a few times and played it back, just to make sure it was being picked up
16:07:16[Saint]My Fuse(es) are my only mic'ed targets, but pitch detector, my pitch pipe, and my acoustic guitar all seem to be in agreement. I can't think of why it wouldn't work on your device other than some funkyness with the mic.
16:11:58 Quit Strife1989 (Ping timeout: 276 seconds)
16:17:28Taco_Princess[Saint]: I just tested it, the recording sound clear and pitch perfect, also it was done in the same environment as testing the pitch_detector. Pretty sure this is a software problem. Is there any chance that reinstalling rockbox could resolve this?
16:18:14[Saint]Its unlikely that would fix it. It couldn't hurt to try, but its unlikely.
16:19:44Taco_PrincessI've been meaning to install 3.9 anyway. While we're on the topic, how does the current release cycle work?
16:20:49[Saint]every ~3 months, there's a freeze where no new features are added and developers/contributers are encouraged to close out current bugs. after that period (usually two weeks), theres a release.
16:21:38[Saint]if there's a really critical bug in between release periods...there may be a point-release inbetween also.
16:22:57Taco_Princess[Saint]: Thanks
16:26:56[Saint]A release is the standard X.X (ie. 3.9) versioning, a point release is when you'll see an additional digit, such as X.X.x (3.8.1 for example)

18:16:23Barracuda72I am using release version, not svn, maybe it's already fixed
18:16:43wodzI am just tweaking the driver
18:16:50wodzwill commit soon
18:17:32wodzBarracuda72: release of what? rk27xx target is not released
18:19:17Barracuda72Release version of Rockbox, 3.9. It contains rk27xx code
18:20:07Barracuda72I can't get svn version now, but will try later
18:20:35wodzthat's the same as svn I guess - I haven't commited for quite some time
18:20:47wodzwhat have you changed in backlight code?
18:23:00wodzBarracuda72:^
18:23:45Barracuda72I changed function _backlight_set_brightness. If level = 0 - disable light. If not - same as in backlight_on, but instead PWMT0_LRC - some calculations, as in fw
18:24:42Barracuda72Sorry, I am from phone =)
18:27:04wodzWhat is your PWMT0_LRC value? I guess you are changing PWMT0_HRC in _backlight_set_brightness()
18:28:04 Join wtachi [0] (~wtachi@cpe-065-190-012-236.nc.res.rr.com)
18:30:00Barracuda72Yes. I've read from PWMT0_LRC, multiply this value by brightness, then divide by 100 and assign result to PWMT0_HRC
18:30:20Barracuda72All as in original firmware
18:31:20wodzbut what value PWMT0_LRC is set to?
18:32:25wodzHave you changed it?
18:32:46Barracuda72It only set in backlight_init to 2500 and not changed later
18:32:49Barracuda72No
18:33:21wodzok so you are lucky that your backlight driver circuit can cope with 10kHz PWM
18:34:12Barracuda72And what's the problem?
18:34:17wodzmy panel barely can cope with 1kHz wave and ~500Hz is the limit where frequency doesn't influence brightness
18:35:53Barracuda72Hm. Which player do you have? My is Ritmix RF-8800, it's clone of Ramos 970

19:17:16pamaury- each time the irq is fired during the enum phase, call F() prior to anything
19:17:16pamaury- in F(), check if address is !=0 while it was 0 before. If yes, send a fake set_address to the core (that might be optional)

19:17:16pamaury- in F(), check if bit 7 is set while it was 0 before. If yes, send a fake set_config to the core (I believe this bit is set on set_config)
