00:27:44JdGordongevaerts: having the build farm build every gerrit patch automagically would be great, not having the possibility of "fix red/yellow" commits would be freeking marvelous
00:28:33gevaertsI think it will need some manual intervention. Having it build *everything* may annoy the people who generously donate spare cycles
00:29:02gevaertsBut yes, having the option would be good
00:29:11JdGordonwell not everything, but yeah

01:22:18dreamlayersWith my 5G iPod, I Windows sometimes doesn't connect in high speed mode. It seems to only happen if the disk is spinning when I plug in the cable, but even then, it doesn't always happen.

01:39:11orzohm, buyersguide lists only sansa fuse v2 and clip+ as "In Production" ... That doesn't sound right. What's "In Production" mean?
01:40:38funmanbeing produced by manufacturers
01:41:07orzosandisk is actually selling rockbox pre installed?
01:41:14funmannot at all
01:41:57funmanthey are producing the fuzev2 and clip+, or at least selling brand new ones in shops. installing rockbox is still your job

03:22:07dreamlayersThat might happen only happen if the hard drive on my 5G iPod is spun up. I haven't done enough testing to be sure though. It doesn't cause problems in Linux, but I wonder if it's related to why I don't get a high speed connection sometimes in Windows.

16:38:06ilfi'm about to buy a sansa clip+ and use rockbox for the first time
16:38:33ilfcan i put music files anywhere on the drive via mass storage device in the original firmware? (i know rockbox can)
16:39:17ilfalso: will resume track work even if new files are on the drive?
16:40:27mc2739ilf: yes, but only with the OF. Rockbox does not yet have working USB for the clip+
16:40:50evilnickYes to the second question too
16:41:18ilfmc2739: damn. so how do i put files on there for rockbox?
16:41:28evilnickWith the OF
16:41:48mc2739there is dual boot - boot into the OF to transfer files
16:41:48evilnickReboot into the OF, add files, reboot into rockbox to play those files
16:44:26ilfare you sure you're talking about the clip+, not clip zip?
16:44:51ilfhomepage sais "clip+" is stable port, clip zip does have usb bugs
16:45:05evilnickStable != working USB mode
16:45:12ilfah damn
16:45:37ilfis there a cheap device in stores now with usb mode?
16:46:10mc2739ilf: http://www.rockbox.org/wiki/Main/SansaAMS#AMSv2_issues_40Fuzev2_44_Clipv2_44_Clip_43_41:
16:46:10evilnickAlthough it shouldn't be a dealbreaker since all you need to do is reboot it into the OF, which doesn't take long and doesn't need to be done all that often after the initial 'putting all your music onto it' phase :)
16:47:08ilfevilnick: i add podcasts daily
16:47:54evilnickRight... and it takes all of a minute or two to reboot.
16:48:34gevaertsilf: if you plug the thing in while switched off, it will boot to the OF, so all you really have to do is shutdown after disconnecting
16:48:55ilfok, that's good
16:49:13ilfcurrently use an ipod shuffle and need to start windows in a virtualbox for fucking itunes
16:49:53ilfif gnupod was stil actively maintained, i wouldn't be here :)
16:50:27gevaertsYou may need to tell the OF to use mass storage after installing rockbox, but that's only once

16:52:02ilfis development for clip+ alive?
16:54:57evilnickkugelp: I tried svn Cabbiev2 on the RAaaaaaaaaaaaaa port, but quickly switched to Saint's version just 'cause it's that much better!
16:56:11kugelpwhat does it do better? I can't really use it because the version for my resolution is buggy
16:56:44 Part Zagor
16:56:52kugelpanyway, did you notice the volume pop-up? I took that idea from saint's
16:58:00evilnickProbably because I'm more used to it, but: I prefer the layout of the navigation buttons, and the fact that the volume popup uses a numerical display as well as the graphical one, the font is nicer
16:59:00kugelpHmm I didn't notice numeric display
16:59:43kugelpsvn and saint's aren't _that_ different, only the sbs basically
17:00
17:00:59evilnickThere are quite a lot of nice fixes/touches in Saint's that aren't in svn, so I do much prefer Saint's version
17:01:09kugelpright, the font. but you can use that with the svn cabbie as well (like I do)
17:01:43evilnickSvn shows the next track by folder, not by tags - which is kinda annoying
17:02:17kugelpevilnick: collecting them and applying then to svn (or finishing saint's) would be nice
17:02:33kugelpevilnick: no it doesn't do that
17:04:24evilnickDoes it cycle through displaying the tags then the folder structure? Because I used rasher's build from today and saw that the svn version of CabbieV2 said the folder name one level up from where the music file was stored was shown as the album for the next track
17:04:37evilnickBut the music file WAS tagged (FLAC, vorbis comments)

21:24:07bertrikI made a 13 px wide solitaire card deck, but found out it's still 2 pixels too big ... :(
21:24:09funmancards are ok for blackjack though

21:24:56bertrikplain resizing often looks ugly if the graphics are very small
21:25:24funmanindeed

21:26:33bertrikyes (but I haven't tried it)
21:27:24bertrikI think I prefer plugins with some having ugly graphics than keep delaying until it's perfect

21:33:17desowin_well, sansa connect's runtime actually is over 8 hours, but due to lack of RTC support in rockbox yet it counts the time wrongly (7h 39min)

22:20:09bluebrotherbecause I want to pick some files out of the repository. Without having a local repository
22:20:48bluebrotherfor example, for the langstat script for Rockbox Utility I want to get a few files and work with them. Then drop it.
22:21:01bluebrotherfunman: can I do that with a refspec?
22:21:27funmannot sure what a refspec is .. ?
22:21:30kugelbut you have a complete checkout for that?
22:21:45funmangit clone takes a repository URL
22:22:07bluebrotherkugel: I don't have a complete checkout and I don't want to use a checkout. Too dangerous having unwanted modifications in it.
22:22:29bluebrotherwell, can I get a specific revision / tag from git that way?
22:22:47funmanno
22:22:54*bluebrother reads git clone manpage
22:23:27bluebrotherthe problem is that I want to have a clean copy for building releases. Which means I can't trust _any_ checkout on disk
22:24:50bluebrotherI guess for git I need to have a clone around somewhere. Which changes the problem to "get a number of files (by list / wildcard) from a specific revision"
