00:03:27blind_testerfunman: is funman/apk/">http://people.videolan.org/~funman/apk/ from you? Do you have the SDK installed and are able to upload an actual rockbox version as apk-file for android? This would be great! :-)
00:04:42gevaertsblind_tester: rasher.dk/rockbox/android/">http://rasher.dk/rockbox/android/ might be useful
00:04:59megal0maniacShall keep at it, then. I can't wait for the Fuze+ to be stable.

00:15:38[Saint]The installation is a little convoluted, after an initial (clean/default) install extract the .zip for your resolution to the devices sdcard and launch Rockbox, navigate to Settings - Theme Settings - Browse theme files - then select "cabbieV2".
00:16:02blind_testerSaint: Ah - thank you!
00:16:07[Saint]In a few words, it completely re-implements the entire hi

00:17:32[Saint]Bah! *committed
00:18:11blind_testerhehe
00:19:43[Saint]I've been working on it a looooong time bit fell ill (and went AWOL for a month) recently and time has been an issue. I consider it to be many orders of magnitude more usable than the default installation's theme.
00:20:15[Saint]...I don't appear to be the only one either, so that's a bonus :)

00:24:51blind_testerups: rockbox has closed.. no comment :-(
00:25:22[Saint]No, actually. There's not a "sane" way to do this. But if your device has a hardware dpad you can navigate with that.
00:26:17blind_testerhmm normal hardware buttons are not used either ... back could be use but nothing happens..

00:27:53[Saint]"Menu" and "Back" are definitely used if present. A hardware dpad should work if present also.
00:28:12blind_testerups... crashed again
00:28:31[Saint]Hmmm. Odd.
00:29:16[Saint]I haven't heard of stability issues in raaa for some time now.

00:30:03stripwaxHrm, FS #12216 seems to bite me every time I go to "update database". (seems to....). After database update begins, dircache is off, and stays off until next reboot.

02:29:23[Saint]Poor wording.
02:29:37Mirbut as i stated on my clip v1 when it crashes it becomes uber unresponsive
02:30:03Kiwi_CAMI'm so pleased that the Alarm works now on the Clip. I can go to sleep and wake up with it. Sweet.
02:30:10Mir:3
02:30:18[Saint]Afaik that's a hardware thing...so it should always work. Like the ipods.
02:30:26[Saint]Happy to be corrected.

02:30:45Mirbut i love my c240 too much
02:31:00Mirthe battery life is 2X the life on the clip(s)
02:31:29Mir27 hours verses 12.5 hours

02:32:13funmanMir: your clipv1 is 12.5 hours? Oo
02:32:24Miron a good day
02:32:29Mirwell
02:32:30Mirno
02:32:35Mirold clip is old
02:32:40[Saint]You should be getting more than that...depending on usage of course, and battery age.
02:32:56[Saint]The clip should well exceed that.
02:32:56*Mir points out the nice screwdriver marks from when it was opened
02:33:12Mirold clip is old
02:33:57Mirthe clip wasnt new when i bought it (unlike the Clip+ or the 3 C240's or the ZEN VM or Express)
02:35:12Mir[Saint]: on my c240 with rockbox i can sometimes get 32 hours of life out of it :3 and did i mention the battery is user replaceable :D
02:36:05funman[Saint]: no way it could exceed that
02:36:50[Saint]funman: don't the clip(s) get into the twenties?
02:36:51funman[Saint]: http://www.rockbox.org/wiki/SansaRuntime maximum runtime ever reported is 11h
02:37:00funmanwith OF, probably
02:37:33[Saint]I thought we had better runtime on these players?
02:37:44[Saint]Wow...what am I thinking of?
02:38:01funmanclipv2
02:38:17[Saint]Ah...that's the one.

02:39:22[Saint]*they
02:40:23funmanif one knew you're sure it would have been fixed since a long time :'(
02:42:53[Saint]Well ...knowing why something happens and being able to remedy it don't necessarily go hand in hand, but yes. I see your point.
02:43:43funmanat least I, saratoga, bertrik, probably kugel and other people looked at it but we find not a single clue

11:47:38webguest345hi, I am having a little trouble with my Sansa Clip v2, installing RockBox worked without problems and I used it for several weeks without any complaints
11:48:36webguest345now I tried to load new music onto it, at first my PC didn't recognize it for whatever reason, so I turned the Sansa off, disconnected it and reconnected it
11:49:23webguest345and now it won't turn on anymore, neither when connected to the PC/AC adapter, nor when pressing "on"
11:50:31webguest345Is this a known side effect of RockBox? I only found that flashing can cause trouble, so I guess I'm dealing with hardware failure
11:51:05webguest345but I thought I'll ask before I go out to buy a new player
11:51:23topikdid you try holdig the power button for a longer time?
11:51:31topik30 seconds or longer?

11:52:09webguest345hmm, I guess not, I'll try it
11:52:20webguest345I only held it for around 10 seconds up to now
11:53:05webguest345ok, that worked

13:56:25impaktorIn Linux I cant see my Sansa Clip+ when using rockbox. I always have to boot into the original firmware to have it show up on my computer, and then it always creates stupid folders like "audible" "audiobooks" etc. Is this normal? I.e. that when running rockbox the device doesn't show up on the computer.
14:00
14:01:04[Saint]No, that's not normal.
14:01:56[Saint]The creation of those folders is, though.
14:02:02gevaertsuhm, yes it is
14:02:11[Saint]They will be created whenever the OF boots.

14:23:42impaktortopik: I updated to rockbox 3.10, but USB is no show. (I connect the player while on and running rockbox, to prevent the OF from loading, but it won't show up.)
14:24:33topik3.10 is not 'current'

14:26:21topikcurrent you get from the 'current build' on the rockbox site but i suppose it means manual install (unzipping)
14:26:48[Saint]Rbutil can install it also.

22:47:28bluebrother^as in: why does make try to run the wrong rule for that? There _is_ a rule!
22:51:19jlbiasinin1s: you mean that I cannot use pacbox through PLA even if I use this pluginlib_getaction fontion?

22:52:33n1sno, i meant you can't just #define the buttons to the PLA enums as the defines are not used with the pluginlib_getaction function
22:53:06jlbiasiniGood I was about to cry!!! :D

22:54:56n1si imagine there must be a simpler plugin to start with than pacbox though
22:56:14jlbiasiniit depend on which side of the difficulty you look for: packbox need very few key
22:56:49jlbiasiniand always the same: direction, select to start, quit for menu
22:57:13jlbiasinibut I guess you are right anyway!
22:57:20kugelpjlbiasini: I suggest starting with lamp. It's small and has little actions
22:57:40kugelpjust two I think

23:48:25max131anyone around with a fuzev2 running current?
23:48:39KL1Pthe clicking is not consistent, it's based on location and the way you hold the device. The original firmware has no such issue ...
23:49:55max131when connecting the fuzev2 to my laptop when running linux all is fine ...
23:50:22max131but when connection it to the same laptop running Windows 7 it is not really working
23:51:51max131it takes ages before it detects 2 removable disks, and double clicking to see the contents also takes ages
23:51:57saratoga_did USB used to work with that computer?

23:56:26max131i think it might have to do with the fact that also the bootloader got changed
23:57:00max131and i can not find back what the original bootloader i was using
23:57:14saratoga_max131: the bootloader changes just add bootloader USB mode
23:57:34saratoga_if you don't plug in USB before rockbox is booted, they won't matter
23:58:06max131do you mean the OF is not booted anymore?
23:58:27saratoga_the mkamsboot changes also prevent that, yes
