01:06:50tenthi there..
01:07:00tentI just opened my sansa clip zip
01:07:20tentI'm trying to find the two pins to short in order to see the OF partition
01:08:53tentI found two pins.. when I bridge them while connecting the sansa to the usb pen (battery unsoldered) the screen of the sansa stays black but no usb drive shows up in windows..
01:09:08tentis black screen in that case normal behavior?
01:10:24tentok I guess nobody alive in this chan.. ;) anyway I've put picture and discussion also in the forum under this topic: http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php/topic,42812.0.html
01:11:14tentmaybe I'm not using the correct pins.. but don't see any others.. maybe I've to get the screws of the board off and check also the other side of the pcb......?

12:24:30[Saint]1 and * is "always use userfont", whereas _ is the userfont or a fallback to sysfont.
12:24:53[Saint]But, I'm fairly sure userfont will fall back to sysfont anyway. SO, yeah, basically nothing.

13:07:24lebellium %tp can only be used in a conditional right? %tp alone doesn't make sense right? I don't know why I used it in my theme for clip zip....
13:17:38[Saint]Yes, it is only useful as a conditional.
13:18:20lebelliumand so only useful in a SBS or WPS
13:18:35lebellium%tp in FMS doesn't make sense
13:18:37[Saint].....no? WHy?
13:18:57[Saint]It's just as useful there as anywhere else.
13:19:13[Saint]I'm not sure why you'd think it wouldn;t be.
13:19:14lebelliumbecause if the player reads the FMS file, that means there is a FM tuner actually...
13:20:02lebelliumthere can't be a false case with a %tp in a FMS file
13:20:47[Saint]Oh, derp. Sorry. I was mixing up %tp and %Tp

21:45:07funmantent: hello, try to plug usb before the logo comes maybe and reformat the player. we don't really know how this closed source OS works so there's not much we can do
21:45:46tentthe fact is it newer shows up any usb drive in windows when I plug the device
21:46:36tentwhat I mean is I'm unable to access or format anything if no usb drive shows up when pluggin it in..
21:47:20tentI tried to plug it in before power up, after, while, pressing back button, unsoldering the internal battery, etc..
21:48:26tentbut one thing you say says to me that if I still se this animation/flower logo it means there is no rockbox firmware running on the sansa but still the proprietary OS, is that correct?
21:49:26 Join y4n [0] (~y4n@unaffiliated/y4ndexx)
21:49:31tentbecause all of this happened after installing rockbox with the installer.. so I tought the rockbox firmware was already written on the sansa..

21:53:16funmanthat means you did not install the bootloader
21:54:35tentuhm..
21:55:31tentbut then what is now blocking the OF that comes from the rockbox installer if not being the bootloader?

22:02:29tentanyway what the fact seems to be is that apparently I could throw my sansa player just away?? no way to understand what happened and no way to recover.... but I admint it is also kind of strange I'm the only one having hat this problem... maybe just bad luck..
