00:00:14[Saint]What does?
00:00:32[Franklin]sansa dock patch
00:00:40chrisb[Saint]: my compile of git-master rb with sansa lineout patch
00:00:48[Franklin]fs#12074
00:00:49fs-bluebothttp://www.rockbox.org/tracker/task/12074 Add setting to enable/disable lineout on Sansa Fuze V2 (patches, unconfirmed)
00:01:51[Saint]Ah. Ancient abandoned patches failing to apply is not uncommon.
00:01:53[Saint]Indeed.
00:02:05[Franklin]LOL
00:02:23[Franklin]it applies with error, chrisb, did you resolve it?
00:03:26[Franklin][Saint], it's "just" three years old! :)

00:41:39[Franklin]btw, how do you generate the AA fonts?

01:50:21rojfound my own answer. for anyone unfortunate enough to use rockbox with a fuze v1 and get a usb hang resulting in the player corrupting the fat partition where the firmware lives, download and install the sansa updater. it willrecreate the required partitions. then download and copy the latest v1 firmware to the root of the player and reboot. this may require a couple of times. you'll eventually get back the sansa operating system
01:51:12[Franklin]roj, thank you
01:51:36roji am NOT at all happy with the latest usb implementation for the fuze v1. it is inherently completely unstable when copying files to the device. i have tested this on TWO 8gtb fuze v1s and also a 4gb fuze v1.

03:44:47[Saint]Not as far as I'm aware.
03:45:02[Saint]And, as far as I know, Gerrit _isn't_ particularly popular at all.

03:47:48chrisb[Saint]: well magit-mode in emacs makes it an amazing experience to use git
03:48:05[Saint]We don't make full use of it like we should, really.
03:48:16[Saint]I mean, its nice, but for the way we're using it, its largely overkill.
03:49:19[Saint]Regarding popularity, several of our regular committers fell off the map entirely due to git being a truly frustrating experience at times.
03:49:45[Saint]After the switch to git, several committers just never bothered re-requesting commit rights.
03:49:49[Saint]It was...unfortunate.

13:02:27wodzhmm, I don't see anything wrong in cp3 configuration but still no sound :-(

13:05:44pamaurywodz: maybe a gate controlled by gpio ?
13:06:36wodzpamaury: I thought about this, tested various combinations touched by OF without luck
13:07:37pamaurywodz: if I were you I would try to modify the OF to boot hwstub on some condition (like a certain keypress), so you can check the hardware configuration done by the OF
13:09:14wodzpamaury: I did it (sort of) - I forced jump to hwstub from the function responsible for keyclick in OF (so sound hw needs to be ready to play something)
13:11:33foolshpamaury: Yes, I am already in the credits file, thanks BTW :-)

13:25:14pamaurywodz: and ? So the problem is the codec configuration ?
13:28:11 Join charlie [0] (~c@unaffiliated/charlie)
13:28:41wodzpamaury: I have no clue honestly. Codec works as master, i2s irq fires which means codec consumes data.
13:29:08pamaurydid you try to read the codec config with hwstub in the OF ?
13:29:35wodzpamaury: wolfson registers are write-only unfortunately
13:30:10pamaurythat's a shame :(
13:30:31pamauryis the reverse engineering of the codec write useful ?
13:32:09wodzpamaury: you mean OF? It looks pretty standard (it is untouched wm8750 driver from sdk)
13:32:39pamauryhum, so maybe it's something else
13:32:55pamauryand if you boot rockbox from hwstub in the OF, does it work ?
13:33:10wodzhmm, didn't try
13:33:29pamaurymaybe try this, if the OF does some magic init you missed, it will work
13:33:48pamauryyou can even disable some codec init in rockbox to avoid messing with the configuration of the OF
13:36:37wodzI keep poking but I thought this will be easy
13:37:37pamauryyeah, I thought too
13:37:45pamauryit's probably a silly problem, as always...

13:47:11wodzpamaury: How do you load binary file into memory with hwstub actually?
13:47:33pamaurywodz: in utils/hwstub/tools/ you can use hwstub_load
13:47:44pamauryyou need to give it an address and a file
13:47:53wodzpamaury: ok
13:48:02pamauryif the file has been scramble from rockbox, it should automatically remove the header
13:49:07pamauryI have not tested hwstub_load much recently, so the recent hwstub changes may have broken it, in which case tell me
