10:18:48_BilgusHorrorCat you might want to test it with a few files after you format before you copy all your songs to it, sometimes you need to reformat it in FAT32 after wiping it out a bit deeper
10:19:14HorrorcatI just FAT32’d it

10:20:28HorrorcatO_o
10:20:33_BilgusIve seen it from people with Linux and Windows both still not totally sure the steps to reproduce
10:20:47Horrorcatwhat does such a deep wipe look like?
10:21:00Horrorcatcould it be the fs type thing in the partition table?
10:21:13Horrorcat(which is still set to exFAT despite being FAT32)
10:21:50_Bilgusprobably but since they don't make images before wiping it its like tootsie roll pops
10:21:58Horrorcatright
10:22:04Horrorcatif it hits me, you’ll get an image if you want to :)
10:22:25Horrorcatfor now I just did mkfs.vfat on the partition, I’ll just copy over one or two songs and wait until the player arrives
10:22:30_Bilgusa mostly empty drive should zip up nicely

12:16:19pamaurythe only part that I am unsure about is whether something needs to be done on the device side: does sthe kernel driver automatically sends the audio data from the host to some soundcard, or a userspace program needs to record for the fake usb soundcard and playback on another card
