11:30:17kalubeWhat's the process for submitting patches? I've read through the contributing section on the wiki but it doesn't go into specifics, unless I'm missing a page
11:33:32kalubeCurrently the iPod classic has the maximum battery capacity set to 1000mAh even though it's possible to get something as large as 3000mAh for it...

14:59:17bluebrother^nihilazo: you can generate talk files for a set of folders, then select another set of folders and generate with other TTS settings. I don't see how that could properly work otherwise ... we'd need to handle multiple TTS settings otherwise, and that doesn't sound like a good way. Especially considering that you'd then need to handle all kind of different languages, even without considering chinese /
14:59:23bluebrother^japanese. Like, you'd need to distinguish between languages like english and german (if you have folders / artists / track names in both languages). And the same applies for other combinations too. And how to determine the language of a string to speak? Like "die" could be an english word, but also could be a german one.
15:00
15:00:56bluebrother^Japanese / Chinese uses a different character set, so there's some chance to detect that, but the underlying problem remains: how to determine the language of a string without any further knowledge?
15:04:20nihilazoyeah, it is hard to do
15:04:20nihilazoimpossible even
15:04:31nihilazoin a general way
15:04:46nihilazoeven if a specific case like an exclusively english and japanese library would be easier
15:22:40bluebrother^indeed. The easiest solution I can think of is to have separate subfolders and then do separate runs on them.
15:23:45bluebrother^well, thinking about it we look for a special ttsconfig.cfg file in each folder and when found use that to configure the TTS. But that would be Rockbox Utility only, and you'd need to do that manually. And I'm not really sure if that would be out of the scope of Rockbox Utility.
15:24:25nihilazoyeah
15:24:48bluebrother^but then again that's a solution that could be useable. Could even extend the voicefile dialog so it'd show a TTS preset for each folder to be used based on that, and allow editing that.
15:25:01bluebrother^but that would require a major rewrite of that dialog, and extend the talkfile generation a bit.
15:25:48bluebrother^sounds doable to me, but then again someone would need to do that. And I guess it wouldn't be used a lot. Especially given that Rockbox players aren't too common anymore these days anyway.
15:33:41fs-bluebotBuild Server message: New build round started. Revision 707f77c6a7, 293 builds, 10 clients.
15:41:04bluebrother^ok, so that's what I wanted to get done for Rockbox Utility. Anything I missed? Need to update the deploy scripts a bit, then could move towards Rockbox Utility 1.5.0
15:41:20bluebrother^Also, someone up to updating some translations for Rockbox Utility?
15:43:18bluebrother^any thoughts on removing translations that have a coverage of less than, say, 70% of the strings from the release? (I'd keep the sources, but simply not ship them)
