04:12:57braewoodshow weird. the gigabeat F might be the fastest of all rockbox ports for raw disk speed.
04:13:05braewoodsI'm getting 30+ MB/s with a CF card o.O
04:13:09braewoodsnot sure how
04:31:04braewoodshmph. all these inflate libraries have one problem or another. i guess i'll go with my plan B. i'll choose one and rewrite it for better rockbox integration.

08:15:27sporkamachronic: does that wheel voodoo fix the occasional jumping back ?
08:21:34sporkand i take it there is no way to default the config to the 'absolute point' mode? that makes it much easier to use.
08:22:12 Quit akaWolf (Ping timeout: 245 seconds)
08:25:55amachronicyes the new wheel handling seems to have fixed that. it seems more precise too, and responds quickly enough to fast spinning.
08:28:16amachronicthe default touchscreen mode can probably be changed. absolute point mode is obviously more intuitive. only problem is that the theme will fall back to 3x3 grid atm which is a bit surprising.
08:29:17amachronicwhoops I mean wps falls back to 3x3 mode

08:50:26sporkfor the wps that is useful
08:50:49sporkfor the menus/lists absolute is much more convenient
08:51:33sporkare wps themes for absolute point possible ?
08:51:57amachronicyes there's support for touch buttons with %T
08:52:17amachroniconce you use a %T tag it also allows you to touch on progress bar to seek
08:52:35amachronicyou can also hook up bars for volume & other settings
08:53:25amachronichttps://www.rockbox.org/wiki/CustomWPS#Touchscreen_areas
08:55:34sporksuppose adding that to q1's cabbie might break more than it solves

16:38:26braewoods_bilgus: i think i found an inflate implementation I can port. the plan9 one is pretty easy to follow. they really did prioritize simplicity.
16:39:46braewoodsit has some inefficiencies i plan to address, at the ones i can understand
16:40:02braewoods(it uses a callback to retrive the input one byte at a time))
16:40:12braewoodswhich means a lot of function call overhead
16:40:27braewoodsso i'm thinking of replacing that with a buffered setup
17:00
17:18:37_bilgusbraewoods, i'd worry about getting it working then worry about speed our readline should buffer it for you..
