14:08:01chris_sPictureFlow tickets that still appear to be relevant:
14:08:05chris_sFS# 11300
14:08:08rb-bluebot PictureFlow - Reflection Setting for small screens, Clip+ (patches, unconfirmed)
14:08:10chris_sFS# 11310 (probably – although someone with a 1bit display target should confirm)
14:08:12rb-bluebot PictureFlow - mono tracklist for mono displays (patches, unconfirmed)
14:08:23chris_sFS# 8295 - Although the ability to start playback directly from PF has been added since then.
14:08:24rb-bluebot database integration of pictureflow (patches, new)
14:08:30chris_sWould make sense (and should be trivial) to let you jump from the database directly to an album in PictureFlow, which doesn't require adding any tags to the database.
14:08:35chris_sAt that point, at least, I'd suggest closing the ticket
14:08:40chris_sA few (PictureFlow and other) tickets that can imo be closed:
14:08:44chris_sFS# 12893 - works as described in the manual afaict (comment added to ticket)
14:08:45rb-bluebot pictureflow ignores albumart (bugs, unconfirmed)
14:08:50chris_sFS# 9114 due to added feature in 13ac485
14:08:51rb-bluebot Pause Between Tracks (patches, new)
14:08:56chris_sFS# 12487 appears to be fixed (as tested by myself on mentioned target)
14:08:57rb-bluebot iPod 5G freezes if powered off and then connected to host with USB (bugs, unconfirmed)
14:09:02chris_sFS# 12722 appears to be fixed (as tested by myself on mentioned target – no test files provided though)
14:09:03rb-bluebot FLAC playback not gapless anynore (bugs, unconfirmed)
14:09:09chris_sFS# 13038 can't reproduce in Clip+ Simulator or on (other) targets
14:09:10rb-bluebot playlist viewer settings not present where described in manual (bugs, unconfirmed)
14:09:13chris_sFS# 13083 (author mentions hardware problem)
14:09:15rb-bluebot Ipod Classic playback jumping (bugs, unconfirmed)
14:09:18chris_sFS# 12367 (not really actionable anymore / link to file doesn't work)
14:09:19rb-bluebot m4a files skip in mid playback. always same point, files are not corrupt. (bugs, unconfirmed)
14:09:24chris_sFS# 12781 (possibly malformed file - not really actionable anymore / link to file doesn't work)
14:09:25rb-bluebot rockbox does not play file (bugs, unconfirmed)
14:09:31chris_sFS# 10089 may still exist as an issue (the M3K scroll strip behaves the same way), but ticket can possibly be closed in light of newly added option to disable list wrap-around
14:09:32rb-bluebot Scrolling doesn't pause at the top or bottom of a list on 2nd Gen iPod (bugs, unconfirmed)

14:31:57yangI have noticed very low bass and high tones when listening to m3k
14:32:07yangis that adjustable over defaults?
14:32:37yangI was blaming original poor headphones, but it's not much better with apple ipads

14:51:03speachychris_s: I've closed all of the ones you flagged.
14:53:26yangI have m3k firmware version: 2e9443104f-210725, says that version on the website is "95408f2117-210614", so do I have the newest firmware?
14:54:08yangor is it time to upgrade?
14:55:51speachyI can't comment on bootloader versions but the main firmware has been incrementally updated on a near-daily basis sine the one you're using.
14:56:49yangI would likely go for the "stable" build and not daily builds if that is posssible...
14:57:03speachyno "stable" build has been released for the m3k yet.
14:57:09yangI see
14:58:15speachythere's nothing special about what you're running currently; just the daily build as of 2021-07-25 :)
14:58:16yangso what exactly do I need to do to upgrade firmware - I was reading the manual,53858.0.html
14:58:36yangdoes it make any sense/difference if I upgrade ?
14:59:31speachyunzip a current zip into the root directory of the SD card.

15:20:36yangok, I have overwritten [A]ll, as mentioned in the manual section 2.4
15:23:10paulcarrotyif you'll delete then loose all your settings, obviously
15:26:29sporkcurrent m3k build has improved considerably since july
15:26:55sporkthere is no real advantage in using 'stable' anyway
15:27:29spork'stable' is more of a documentation level than quality
15:27:48sporkdocumentation/rockbox utility support

16:22:25Guest1364Hello there, I have a question concerning the translation...
16:38:38paulcarrotydon't ask for ask
16:40:34speachywhich translation?
16:46:31***Saving seen data "./dancer.seen"
16:47:55Guest1364I just want to know if there are plans to switch over to an easier way to translate the software, like using Weblate or Transifex instead.
16:49:41speachyno plans. if someone does the work of addnig support to weblate/transifex for our language file format, then sure, switching is no big deal.
16:50:24speachy(similarly, porting our language files to a format those tools already support is another option. but either way, it's a lot of work.
