05:55:57_bilgusthe link above your message shows just that actually.
05:56:18_bilgussee our IRC logs
05:57:51_bilgusif you don't want to set it first then you'll need a viewport the lcd doesn't have a get_font function (only set font)
05:58:43_bilgusI even made it fill the squares
05:59:11MyFairJulieActually i've been thinking about setting it to default font to make sure that whatever theme is on the iPod, the game and text still fits.

11:02:08amachronicyou could check if the problem exists on the 2022-04-11 daily build. there's nothing after that which looks obviously suspect.

11:12:18amachronicok, a bunch of buflib related changes I've been working on are now up.
11:13:43SerkeIndeed, 2022-04-11 seems to be unaffected.

11:17:45amachronicwhat about 2022-04-16?
11:18:36amachronicthere's literally only 1 trivial change between the 11th and the 16th
11:22:51SerkeYou mean today's daily build? I've tried it before reporting the problem, same problem as with the latest dev build.
11:23:37SerkeI was not doing a fresh install though, as with 2022-04-11.
11:23:42SerkeCould it be that my settings from the older build interfere somehow?
11:24:13amachronicit might be the DB rebuilding in the background, if you have that enabled
11:24:38SerkeNo, I'm pretty sure I've never enabled it.
11:25:04amachronicok.

11:28:45amachronici just can't see how the changes between the 11th and now would affect the menus
11:30:21dconradI'm not that familiar with its internal workings, but could dircache take significant resources to build on clip+?
11:30:54SerkeNo, I'm running from the external sd card.
11:33:06amachronicI dunno then, sorry. my best guess is bad settings or a hardware issue.
11:33:25amachronicperhaps dircache is to blame since it's the only other background scanning thing I think?
11:36:59dconradprobably some settings to check when the issue is occurring to turn off and see if it goes away: Database Load to Ram, Auto Update, and System->Disk->Directory Cache
11:38:13dconrador just double-check if they're turned on in general

12:17:30SerkeOkay, so now this is getting weird. I've erased .rockbox folder completely and did a fresh install of 2022-04-16 using Rockbox Utility 1.5.0. Usually after having finished the upgrade process and ejected the device I get notified by Rockbox that I need to reboot my Sansa. This time though I was greeted with this:
12:17:34SerkeData abort at 00061ca8

12:23:28SerkeAfter a cold reboot and a quick check everything seemed to work fine until I decided to try and change a theme. Then the lag returned.
12:27:38***Alert Mode OFF
12:28:42SerkeWhat's more, to my surprise, my 'themes' folder contained only three themes that come with the default Rockbox installation - Rockbox Utility 1.5.0 didn't install any of the themes I selected.

18:30:36QuixHey, this is my first time on irc and I have a question about rockbox on a 5th generation iPod Classic if anyone can answer.
18:31:52QuixSo, I have a one of a kind factory diagnostics menu on an iPod I've been loaned and I need to rip the ROM from the iPod. I plan to use rockbox do to that but I need to be certain rockbox doesn't do anything to the rom upon first boot
18:33:53QuixIts some diagnostics menu that has more settings and the iPod was an RMA unit which wasn't wiped of its unique menu
