01:28:29_bilgus_amachronic (logs) I abandoned the font path patch we allow loading fonts in the file browser currently and it makes it weird having fonts able to be outside the font dir failing to lod not to mention both the hashed version and the filename only version both take around 300 bytes it seems like a bad move IMO
01:34:42_bilgus_I guess another option would be to make the filnames dynamically sized but being there is already a var len buffer t the end of the struct it'll require some bookkeeping and logic
01:36:54_bilgus_in the typical instance (loaded from .rockbox/fonts/) its about 50 chars for the path of the longest font so given a few fonts it might still be worthwhile

19:23:37WACOMaltHello everyone! I'm sitting here trying to find a solution to my issues with Rockbox on my iPod Mini 1st Gen.
19:24:21WACOMaltI've replaced the Minidisk with a iFlash brand CF adapter, with a 128GB SD card in it. I followed iFlash's guide for correclty formatting, it restored without issue, and rockbox seemed to install fine.
19:25:07WACOMaltHowever, now after trying to run it, it seems RockBox is unable to write anything to storage. So any changes to settings, themes, saved solitaire games, etc. Will at best just not work, or at worst will freeze or panic.
19:25:50WACOMaltSo far what I've tried is to rebuild RockBox from source, which did not change anything (but good to know how to do so for the future!)
19:27:50WACOMaltI'm now attempting to try the tweaks mentioned in this post,52560.msg247796.html#msg247796
19:28:18WACOMaltthough I'm not sure if this is the proper place for these tweaks for an iPod Mini 1g
19:46:50WACOMaltthose tweaks did nothing unfortunately. I'm assuming they are just in the wrong place for this target
19:46:59WACOMaltGoing to test a 32GB SD card instead
20:09:21WACOMaltAaaand that works fine.
20:09:35WACOMaltSo I guess 128GB max is incorrect on the iFlash website description?

21:25:39bilgus_phWACOMalt id try a different SD card rockbox has no arbitrary size limit other than fat32s
21:26:11bilgus_phWhere did you buy the card?
21:27:29WACOMaltAmazon, directly from SanDisk's store. It's a legit one if that's what you're interested in :P
21:27:52WACOMaltSanDisk 128GB Extreme PRO SDXC 95 MB/s
21:28:06bilgus_phDid OU actually test the card
21:28:17bilgus_phNever assume
21:28:18WACOMaltyes I've used it for a year prior, fully filled many times
21:28:44WACOMaltits not like, lying about the size or anything at the very least.
21:29:11WACOMaltI used to use it in my Video camera, so I frequently loaded it up.
21:29:40WACOMaltperformed as advertised in terms of speed and capacity.
21:31:35bilgus_phDoesn't mean it doesn't have bad sectors but that's good enough but id probably try testing it if nothing else but again no size limits other than some apple firmware is limited but IM not into apple devices

22:25:19WACOMaltYeah from what I ready the limit should be 128, so it is at least right at the limit. I dont need that much space though I'll just get a 64GB one that is listed as functional.
