02:25:00Saijin_Naib[m]I'd be curious what that might look like. I'm not thinking my efforts to resurrect my MPIO HD300 are going to be fruitful, so I'm in need of a player...

02:25:00Saijin_Naib[m]That Anbernic RG300 might work though

08:04:24speachySaijin_Naib[m]: crappy form factor for a music player. but it's probably a good candidate for a quick hosted port.
08:15:59speachybut it (and most of those handheld gaming devices) are built on the jz47xx chips and as such a native port would be relatively easy too. Not sure if that would really offer anything over a hosted port for these things.
08:18:09speachythough the newest batch seems to use a quad-core Cortex-A9.

08:51:35speachyah, that's right. the first gen of those things tended to be based on an allwinner FC100s (Single core 500MHz ARM926), 2nd gen jz4760 (single cre 600MHz mips), 2.5gen jz4770 (dual core 1GHz mips), and latest is quad-core ARM Cortex A9.
08:52:43speachyall running Linux, though I _think_ the current stuff is on top of Android.
09:00
09:26:22speachyugh, the RG300 needs a uClibc-ng-based toolchain.
