09:49:08_bilgusI've been messing with the bootloader for Sansa e200v2 thats something like 12k oversized https://forums.rockbox.org/index.php/topic,54768.0.html
09:52:38_bilgusbahaus managed to get it to fit by ripping out backtraces, logo, alpha bitmaps and a few others
09:52:53_bilgusand thumb
09:55:45_bilgusI guess I need to talk to amachronic either way as bahus has indicated 3301c5aa6 'Remove buflib allocation names, part one' as causing breakage
09:56:20_bilgusI don't think thats the actual case ATM I think its just an unfavorable alignment as we've seen this crap before
09:58:06_bilgusbut I'm currently paring down the e200v2 bootloader to give bahus a different version to try the thought occurred to me that maybe we can make the usb code able to use static buffers or atleast a smaller bufferlib in the bootloader
09:59:15_bilgusI'm pretty sure looking at it that buflib is way over sophisticated for its use
10:00
10:07:43_bilgusGoal - decrease the size of the Bootloader buflib

10:33:06_bilguslooks like the unicode codepage uses core_alloc as well as USB storage, I bet TLSF and some work with amachronics buflib_malloc implementation might work
10:35:42_bilgusAnyone know If the Sansa E200v2 ever actually has been seen with an internal FAT16 formatted drive it seems like maybe it was just carried from the v1??

12:43:10chris_s_bilgus: On devices without multiple volumes, or in the sim, the file browser, since g5549 will assemble paths that have multiple additional slashes in front of them, depending on the directory depth. (E.g. when checking the path in the Properties plugin)
